Governed by the Victorian Premier State and Cabinet, Aboriginal Victoria had been an overly bureaucratic site which had been dry in content, inaccessible and difficult to navigate.
The aim was to create a site that was accessible to heritage advisors, Aboriginal Victorians, planners and developers and the general populations seeking resources regarding Aboriginal Victoria.
Idea and Strategy
By breaking over 600 items of content into 4 major categories: Policy, Treaty, Community Engagement and Heritage, I was able to create and develop a content strategy that would make the content easily accessible. Creating meta-tags to optimise each page for clear search terms included.
Important information about Welcome to Country, Education opportunities and research and outcomes on Closing the Gap were included in the creation of this new resource centre.
Media
Website which is now a resource centre with 4 main categories: Heritage, Policy, Community Engagement and
Treaty.
Outcome
The Department of Premier State and Cabinet and the state of Victoria now have a vibrant online resource centre for all things pertaining to Aboriginal Victoria.
